What is a career "low point" that actually set you up for success?
Getting the Silver medal at the United States National Figure Skating Championships in 1989. It was the year everyone, including me, expected my sister and I to win. The lesson, there are no guarantees in life.
What piece of advice would you give your younger self?
Whatever your doing "PAUSE" for a few minutes to look around and "TAKE" in the moment. Feel it, Breath it in, and then Visualize it with your eyes closed, then Open your eyes and ENJOY or LEARN from that moment.
Fun Fact
Along with my sister, Kim, I had a 30 minute private conversation with First Lady Nancy Reagan in the White House then accompanied her outside for the Easter Egg Roll on the White House Lawn.
